Privacy Policy
Last updated: 24 September 2026
The short version
- We follow the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
- We publish only what's on a public profile or report. Emails, ABNs, contact names, evidence and moderator notes are never published.
- We check that what we hold is accurate and current (APP 10), and we keep it secure and delete it when it's no longer needed (APP 11).
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your information at any time. We'll respond within 30 days.
1. Who we are
Influence'd is operated by Max O'Neill ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains how we handle personal information on influenced.pages.dev (the "Platform"). It should be read with our Terms of Service.
2. What we collect
About influencers and creators
- Public profile details: name, platform, handle, follower count, content niches, and state or territory.
- Conduct reports about collaborations with you, including incident type, severity, performance score, date and a summary. This is personal information because it's about you, even though it's an opinion.
- Evidence submitted with a report (such as messages, contracts or screenshots) and our moderation notes. These are not published.
About brands and businesses
- Business name, industry, location and website (published once the business is listed).
- ABN, contact person's name and email address, used for verification and never published.
When you create an account
- Your email address (confirmed through a sign-in link), your name, whether you're a brand or a creator, and the profile or business you claim or create.
- For brands, your ABN. For everyone, anything you tell us to help us verify you.
- When you last signed in.
When you submit a review
- The campaign name and date, your ratings and summary (published once approved), and which account submitted it (not published).
- Any evidence file you upload, with its file name, size and upload date. Evidence is only ever seen by our moderators and is never published.
When you reply to a report
- Your name and email address (used only to verify you, never published).
- Whether you're the creator or their representative, and your response (both published once approved).
When you join the waitlist
- Name, email, role, and anything else you choose to give us, such as your platform or handle, website, niche or a message.
Technical information
- Our hosting provider processes standard request data such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We don't use it to identify you.
We don't intentionally collect sensitive information (such as health, racial or ethnic origin, religious or political views, or sexual orientation). If a submission includes it, we remove it before publication.
3. How we collect it
We collect information directly from you when you fill in a form or email us. We collect information about influencers from publicly available sources (their public social media profiles) and from businesses that submit conduct reports. Where we collect information about you from someone else, this policy and the notice on your profile are how we let you know (APP 5). You can contact us at any time to see what we hold.
4. How we use it
- To run the Platform: publishing profiles, approved reports and replies, and calculating the Reliability Index and statistics.
- To verify businesses (including checking ABNs on the Australian Business Register) and to verify people replying to reports.
- To moderate submissions, handle disputes, complaints and takedown requests, and enforce our terms.
- To contact waitlist members about the Platform launching and related updates. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To keep the Platform secure and meet our legal obligations.
We don't sell personal information, and we don't use it for third-party advertising.
5. What we publish
We publish only:
- Influencer profiles: name, platform, handle, follower count, niches, status, Reliability Index, date added and state.
- Approved reports: report ID, campaign name and date, category ratings, incident type, severity, performance score, an objective summary, and the verified business that submitted it.
- Business profiles: name, industry, sector, location, website, verification status and Brand Trust Score.
- Approved creator reviews of brands: campaign name and date, category ratings, summary, and the name of the verified creator who wrote it.
- Approved replies: the response, whether it came from the creator or a representative, and the date published.
Emails, ABNs, contact names, evidence, moderator and dispute notes, and respondents' names are never published. Our systems enforce this with a fixed list of the fields that are allowed out, not just by policy.
6. Who we share it with
We share personal information only with:
- service providers who help us run the Platform, currently Airtable (database), Cloudflare (hosting, security and evidence file storage) and our email provider (sign-in links and notifications), under contracts that require them to protect it;
- the business that submitted a report, to the limited extent needed to resolve a dispute about that report (for example, telling it the substance of a correction request); we don't give it your contact details without your consent;
- professional advisers such as lawyers, where needed; and
- courts, regulators or law enforcement where required or authorised by law.
7. Overseas storage (APP 8)
Our database provider, Airtable, stores data in the United States. Cloudflare processes requests through data centres worldwide. Before using any overseas provider, we take reasonable steps to make sure it handles personal information consistently with the APPs, including through its contractual privacy and security commitments.
8. Keeping information accurate (APP 10)
We take reasonable steps to make sure the personal information we collect, use and publish is accurate, up to date, complete and relevant. In particular:
- Verified sources. Reports are accepted only from businesses whose ABN we have verified. Replies are published only once we've confirmed who sent them.
- Review before publishing. A moderator checks every report against the evidence provided before it goes live, and removes irrelevant or excessive detail.
- Right of reply. Creators can respond to any report, so the public record includes their side.
- Corrections. If you tell us something is wrong, we review it and correct, re-score or remove it where appropriate. Disputed content can be hidden while we investigate (see our takedown policy).
- Refreshing profiles. We periodically update public profile details such as follower counts, and we correct outdated details as soon as we become aware of them.
9. Keeping information secure (APP 11)
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference and loss, and from unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These include:
- No direct database access from the website. The site talks to our database only through our own server code. The database access key is stored encrypted on the server and is never sent to your browser.
- Field-level allow-listing. Our server returns only the specific fields approved for publication (section 5). Private fields can't be retrieved through the Platform.
- Least-privilege access. The database key is limited to this one database, and only team members who need personal information for moderation or verification can see it.
- Encryption in transit and at rest through our hosting and database providers, and security headers that protect the site against common web attacks.
- Spam and abuse protection on all forms.
When we no longer need personal information for any purpose allowed under the APPs, and we're not required by law to keep it, we take reasonable steps to destroy it or permanently de-identify it (APP 11.2).
10. How long we keep it
- Waitlist details: until the Platform launches and you've been contacted, or until you ask us to remove them, whichever comes first.
- Unpublished or rejected submissions and replies: up to 12 months, so we can deal with any follow-up or dispute, then deleted.
- Published reports and their evidence: while the report is published, and up to 2 years after it's removed, so we can respond to any legal claim.
- Business verification details (ABN, contact): while the business is listed, and up to 2 years after.
11. Access and correction (APPs 12 and 13)
You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing getinfluenced.hello@gmail.com. We'll need to confirm your identity first. We'll respond within 30 days and won't charge you for making a request. If we refuse, we'll tell you why in writing and explain how to complain.
If we don't agree to change a report, you can ask us to attach a statement saying you believe it is inaccurate. The easiest way to do that is the right of reply.
12. Deletion requests
To ask us to delete your personal information, email getinfluenced.hello@gmail.com with the subject line "Deletion request". Tell us who you are and what you'd like deleted (for example, your waitlist entry, a reply you submitted, or your business account).
- We'll acknowledge your request within 48 hours and confirm your identity.
- We'll complete it within 30 days and confirm in writing once it's done.
- Waitlist entries, replies you wrote, and your own contact and account details will be deleted.
- If you're a creator asking us to remove reports about you, we'll review each report under our complaints process. We may keep a report published if it's accurate, meets our content rules and is in the legitimate interest of businesses using the Platform. If so, we'll explain why, and you can still reply to it or complain to the OAIC.
- We may keep limited records where the law requires it or where we need them to deal with a legal claim. We'll tell you if that applies.
Deleted information is removed from our live database. Copies may remain for a limited time in our providers' backups and revision history, where they aren't accessible through the Platform, until they're overwritten or expire.
13. Data breaches
If we have a data breach that's likely to result in serious harm, we'll notify affected people and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme, and tell you what you can do to protect yourself.
14. Cookies and analytics
The Platform doesn't use advertising or analytics cookies, and doesn't track you across other sites. If you sign in, we set one strictly necessary cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 30 days (it's removed when you sign out). Our hosting provider may set strictly necessary cookies to protect the site from abuse. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address to deliver them.
15. Complaints
If you're concerned about how we've handled your personal information, email getinfluenced.hello@gmail.com. We'll acknowledge your complaint within 48 hours and aim to resolve it within 30 days.
If you're not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
16. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll change the "last updated" date above and, for significant changes, post a notice on the Platform.
